AUDIO This is How to Fight! Women in West Virginia Teach Powerful Lessons

The recent wildcat strike by teachers and support staff in West Virginia is being called one of the most important events in the labour movement since the 1970s. We would like to take a closer look and examine its success and discuss its relevance to the situation here in Canada. Their will be presentations followed by discussion.

Presenters:

Kate Doyle Griffiths (via Skype) is active with International Women’s Strike-U.S. and the Red Bloom collective in New York City. Kate spent time in West Virginia during the strike.

David Camfield is active with Winnipeg Labour Council and Solidarity Winnipeg.
